at the Office of Investments and Economic Development

The Office of Investments and Economic Development was founded in November, 2010 and functions within the Municipal Administration of the Municipality of Kanjiža.

The Office operates in two elemental directions:

to attract Serbian and foreign investments and

to provide help to the established business community

Through its work the Office seeks to improve the business climate in Kanjiža and foster economic growth.

The key tasks of the Office of Investments and Economic Development are:

The promotion of the Municipality, in Serbia and elsewhere, as a suitable place for investing, doing business, and life – Internet marketing, creating promotional materials, visits to fairs and other industrial events;

The creation and maintenance of significant databases for the business endeavours of the existing industry and for potential investors;

Informing potential investors and existing industrialists about the conditions of doing business, investing possibilities and about available support programs and opportunities that give privileges on a local and national level also;

To cooperate with the private, public, and NGO sectors, to coordinate their activities and to stimulate private public partnerships;

To identify the needs and to help solve problems of the local business community to improve competitiveness and stimulate development of the existing economy.
