R E M I N D E R – MEETING REPORT

Location: Tata (Hungary)

Topic: EUROPEAN YEAR OF CITIZENS workshop

The 5th workshop is also combinated with a study tour.
The fifth time held workshop in Tata was attended by leaders of educational institutes from Kanjiza. The workshop aims were: exchange of pedagogical experience, presentation of good practices and examples, tracing common problems and discussion.
Themes organized around the education were: carreer choices of young people, the employment problems and youth unemployment.
The guests visited the Otto Blahy Secondary School.
There was a presentation in County Empoyment Center of District Office Tata, which theme was the carreer orientation.
Later, a round-table discussion was held in the Town Hall of Tata. The topic of discussion:
1. The process of carreer selection, the distribution of tasks
2. The guidance services
3. The carreer selection and school choice assistance (National Carreer Guidance Portal)

Summary of comments:
1. We need to help young people to choose carreer
2. The location of carreer choice is in educational system
3. Individual courses are also important in choosing a carreer
4. The function of supporting services in carreer selection is the most important
5. Programs, which hold together the youth are very important
6. There is a greater opportunity to find a job with good carreer choice
7. With marketable profession can get a job easily
8. Most of unemployed are young
